Hey! I’m Bill Vaughn, I am the drummer and the “Vaughn” of Isaacs Vaughn Band.  If you like drum porn then you should like this site- I’ll be posting pics of my kits and of other cool and interesting kits as well as a variety of all things percussion.  Also, I’ll be posting transcripts of grooves, fills, licks, and various exercises.  I’ve been playing for well over 25 years and am still learning more every day.  I’m especially interested in adapting West African, Afro-Cuban, and Reggae grooves into a funk-rock context.

Finally, I’ll be posting about what I’m listening to, drummers who inspire me (and why), and my general philosophy regarding drumming and music.  Finally, remember not to just play your drums but to instead play MUSIC (that goes for any instrument- check out Victor Wooten’s great book “The Music Lesson).
